Employment Opportunities:

Part-time Security Officers – The Part Time Security Officer is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of Valley View Casino Center patrons, employees, and assets. Guard Card required.

Operations Assistant –

  • Physically preform and assist with event setups, changeovers and daily operational tasks
  • Act on all relevant information from Operations Managers and Event Managers for event setups and changeovers
  • Participate in day-to-day operations of the facility
  • Assist Operations Lead, Event Operations Manager and Facility Operations Manager as needed
  • Preform facility operational tasks required in keeping up the facility on non-event days
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability and opportunity to gain working knowledge of facility operations, changeovers and setups
  • Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, basketball floors, volleyball, football and tennis, etc.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as event schedule requires
  • Ability to meet deadlines and function in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to lift 30lbs unassisted
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Any combination of work experience or training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Forklift certification not required but strongly preferred
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish a plus

Usher –
The usher/ticket takes position has the most interaction with our guests during events, and as such must provide excellent customer service and exceed our guests’ expectations. The usher position is responsible for properly checking guests’ tickets as they enter the seating areas, concourses, and other areas of the facility. The usher must properly direct guests to their seats, and to other services around the facility including restrooms, concessions, first-aid, and other event-specific locations as directed by the Event Manager. The usher is responsible for their assigned area and is charged with observing that all guests in their area are following all policies and code of conduct requirements. The usher is also responsible for providing general assistance and customer service to guests as needed, in a friendly and helpful manner. This is a part-time, hourly, event-based position.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet and interact with all guests in a welcoming and friendly manner.
  • Check guest’s ticket, and ensure the guest is in the proper seating section.
  • Direct guests to their ticketed seats, or to the appropriate seating section.
  • Ensure that only guests with the proper ticket are sitting in assigned section.
  • Monitor seating area for guests who may not be in correct area.
  • Keep aisles, concourses, and stairs clear of guests while event is in progress.
  • Answer guest questions with regard to event and facility, e.g. location of particular section, restrooms, concession stand, first-aid, etc.
  • Handle complaints, disturbances, or related problems with guests. Forward complaint to supervisor or Event Manager as applicable.
  • Ensure guests are following all policies and code of conduct requirements.
  • Report issues or violations to supervisor or Event Manager.
  • Inspect assigned work area prior to and during event, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, personal injuries, etc. Report issues to supervisor or Event Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Event Manager.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be proactive in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of customer service.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, interacting with multiple departments.
  • Understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Able to see and read small-sized text on tickets (paper & electronic).

Porter –

Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Day Porter to perform day-to-day building maintenance at our company facility. Overall duties will include removing debris, maintaining common room areas, restocking bathrooms and responding to all cleaning emergencies.

Essential Functions:

  • Clean all common room areas including the kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room.
  • When applicable, place safety hazard signs in the building including wet paint and wet floor warning signs.
  • Monitor, clean and service washrooms.
  • Respond to any major spills or other cleaning crises.
  • Remove litter and rubbish from main common rooms.
  • Help order supplies required for facility maintenance.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Must be reliable and professional.
  • Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.

 The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines and work timetable.

  Required Qualifications:

  • 6 – 12 months’ porter experience.
